Good candidates for a custom review
- A standard machine does not fit the feed, product or site constraint.
- Several process stages need to be coordinated as one line.
- The buyer needs a replacement or retrofit around existing equipment.
- Utilities, voltage, climate or export packaging require explicit adaptation.
How we keep the scope clear
- Record the operating duty and non-negotiable constraints.
- Separate confirmed requirements from assumptions.
- Ask suppliers for comparable scope, exclusions and lead-time basis.
- Agree tests, inspection points and acceptance criteria before production.
A special configuration should not be treated as a promise that every request can be built. The first deliverable is a clear feasibility and information gap review.
